Hubby booked a bigger cab in advance that came to fetch us from hotel at about 9am. Our flight was 12.35pm and although we reached the Incheon airport earlier by 2.5 hours, there was already a long queue at the SIA Counter. We walked around the airport before boarding our plane. We are so glad to be home! Nothing beats the comfort of our home and beds.
Our overall impression of this trip:
The weather was quite disappointing in Korea as it was not as cold as what we heard and expected. In fact we felt very stuffy and hot in hotels and indoor areas. Sometimes, outdoor could also feel warm so we had to take off our coats. It was very troublesome to have to wear and take off the coats as and when necessary.
I was hoping to see snow, but I guess I have no luck! No snow and no cold weather.
The kids are not keen to walk a lot so we had to make our way back to hotel usually quite early as Violet would start grumbling after walking for distances. I also prefer to eat nearby our hotel due to my weak tummy so we are just one lazy family who always retreat back to hotel early. Hubby also developed back pain which also hindered us from walking too far and too much.
We didn’t explore many places in Seoul as we are not the type of very adventurous family. We find Seoul quite similar to Singapore and the stuff selling there are quite expensive. We are not facial products lovers, branded stuff lovers or fashion lovers so basically besides buying snacks and food, we didn’t really spend much.
But I must say trips are always a good opportunity for us to spend time as a family together. It created memories and allowed us to spend precious time together. Sadly, from next year, Dash will not be able to join us for trips as he is enlisting into army.
