We went to Montigo Resort with my parents. I heard from my colleague about the wonderful resort before, and was tempted to make a trip there, finally this year end, we decided to make a trip there since we did not want to travel anywhere too far. We spend 2 nights at Montigo Resort, and thereafter, we spend another 2 nights at Ihotel Baloi next to BCS shopping mall for shopping.

We boarded Batam Fast ferry from Tenah Merah to Nongsa Ferry Terminal which is just 5 minutes away from Montigo Resort. There were not many people, so we could take our time to board the ferry as we did not have to worry about the seats.

When we returned from Batam, we boarded the ferry at Sekupang ferry terminal. The terminal is clean and spacious and has a kids’ playing area. I love that terminal, and there were not many people too.

Montigo Resort is surrounded by sea, and we booked a 2 bedrooms Villa. It is a double storey house with 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a personal swimming pool. We basically just spend our time relaxing and enjoying the scenery around the resort. Violet had her first Manicure and Pedicure done at the spa in the resort, and I also did a foot Reflexology. It costs us S$100 plus which is not cheap at all. The food at Montigo Resort were expensive. It costs us nearly $80-100 per meal. However, the resort provides free breakfast though. The kids love the resort, they love the big house, and private swimming pool. They swam for hours at the private pool and had so much fun. There is a kids’ club over there with activities for children at different pricing. The kids did not participate in any of the activity though.

After we checked out from Montigo, we proceeded to Ihotel Baloi in Batam Center. Finally, things were much cheaper everywhere. We had our meals there for like $12-30. Message over there was like $18-20, however, we did not do any massage there.

We shopped around BCS and Nagoya Hill. We took a cab to Nagoya for $6-7. We had a great time buying things, as things were fairly cheap. I love getting kids’ clothes there as they cost like less than $10. I also bought working pants for myself which costs like $18.

We had a good time in Indonesia, a short distance away from Singapore, and good enough for us to relax.

Violet had her first Manicure and Pedicure experience, and was pampered like a princess. The resort spa has packages for kids!
