We went to Festive Hotel for a night stay on the 1st day of year 2012. It is actually to celebrate Violet’s coming birthday on 19th January. Both Dash and Violet love hotel stays, so we try to bring them to one hotel stay during the month of the their birthdays. I booked the hotel stay quite some time back, so although my hubby’s Uncle passed away, we still proceeded with the stay, as I had already paid for it. We were actually thinking, since we had already paid, we might as well enjoyed ourselves. Life is so unpredictable, we really must treasure our time together. The hotel stay costs me about $316 for one night.

Before we checked into the hotel, we went to Underwater World, and butterfly cum Insect kingdom at Sentosa. I bought the deal from Groupon at $35 per adult. It includes admission tickets and also one slice of pizza, fries and drink, personally, I think is quite worthwhile. Dash has been pestering us to bring him to Underwater World again, so when I saw the deal, I bought it.

We checked into the hotel around 3pm. The kids had a lot of fun playing at the Hard Rock Hotel’s pool, as well as the Festive Hotel’s pool. They spend time at the two pools, and after that, we had our BBQ dinner at Fiesta Restaurant in the hotel. The dinner costs us $200+! But we were thinking since it was the first day of year 2012, we should feast out!

The next morning, we had to pay for our breakfast in the hotel, it costs about $88! After that, the kids had more fun with the pool at Festive Hotel, before we made our way to hubby’s uncle funeral.

We started year 2012 with mix feelings. But anyway, I do hope year 2012 will be a wonderful year for our family!
