We had a staycation at Downtown East from 3–5 December because the floor regrouting was scheduled on 4 December. Before and after the works, we couldn’t use the shower area for 24 hours, so we needed a temporary place to stay.

We celebrated my husband’s birthday right after checking in by having an early dinner at Dian Xiao Er with my mum. After dinner, she bought him a cake from PrimaDéli, and we had a small cake-cutting session in our resort room.

The kids had to work, and my husband needed to supervise the regrouting, so I spent 4 December on my own. I took a morning walk at Pasir Ris Beach, then went to White Sands for a bit of shopping. Later, I bought dinner to my parents’ place nearby before ending the day by buying dinner with my husband. The next morning, me and hubby went for a jog at Pasir Ris Beach before we checked out.

After grouting, the uneven and dirty grouts are gone! We got Grout Shield to help us do the grouting. They send many workers and got the work done in like 6 hours. Total damage: $2350
