This is the first time we traveled so far, and took almost 8 hours of plane flight. Honestly, I was going to go crazy on the plane cause time seemed to pass by so slowly on plane. I never like to take long flight, so I don’t think I will ever venture to countries like USA or England, those far far away countries. Australia will most probably be the furthest I can go. To celebrate Dash’s achievements for his PSLE, we decided to travel to Australia this year, even though it was summer when we went there.

In total, we spend about $2500+ on tickets to brisbane, $ $3600+ for accommodation, $600+ on car, $600+ for tickets and activities, $2700+ on expenses and food, so in total for whole trip, we spend about$10k for  this Australia trip. To us, this was the most expensive trip we ever had.

But the kids enjoyed themselves a lot throughout the whole trip, cause there are a lot of theme parks in Gold Coast, and they love the farmstay at Lilydale farm most. We brought them to play timezone (which they seldom have the chance to play in Singapore), and they had a lot of free time to toggle with their handphones, cause attractions in Australia usually close at 5-530pm (Singapore time 3 plus), so most of the time, we were back in hotels/apartments rather early, and rested for rest of the day.

For day 1, we boarded the plane on 25 November at about 6am and reached there about 4pm Brisbane time (2pm Singapore time). We went to take our rental car from Hertz, and just checked into the Riverside Hotel and went to nearby supermarket to buy our dinner.
