We finally visited the newly opened museum in Singapore, Lee Kong Chian Museum, which is situated in my former University, NUS.
The entrance fees are not cheap, Singaporean Adult costs $16, while kid costs $9.
The exhibition gallery is divided into 2 floors of about 2,500 sq m. The main floor is about the history and diversity of life on Earth, with a strong emphasis on Southeast Asian plants and animals. On the mezzanine floor, they have two main areas. Outside of the museum, there are some natural plants and fishes for visitors .
Basically there are lots and lots of fossils of dead fishes, insects, birds, reptiles etc. I actually find them disgusting. But the kids find them interesting. There are a couple of Science knowledge that you can pick up from the museum, like life cycle of fungi, plants, frogs etc. The main highlight of the museum are the three huge dinosaurs fossils on display.
The kids enjoyed the museum very much, much more than other museums. Money well spend.
