Went for our yearly batam retreat at my in laws’ house from 12-14 Dec, this time round with hubby’s brother and wifey.

We had a good time relaxing and shopping in Batam! We really love shopping at Batam, cause we can buy lots of things cheaply. I bought new year clothes for the kids, Violet’s dress costs about $11 each, Dash’s polo tee about $11 each, jeans about $17, normal shorts $3, minion tee about $5, Violet’s disney design pajamas about $12, and Dash’s normal design pajamas about $8. Hubby bought his working long sleeve shirts for about $12-13, and working pants for about $17. I bought my good quality working dresses for about $50 which is not that cheap, but still cheaper than most selling in Singapore. We truely enjoyed our shopping in Batam! We also bought home their glutinous rice wrapped with chicken, tasted great!

Besides shopping, the kids had fun running about the big courtyard, blowing bubbles, playing with fire sparkles, catching caterpillar and insects, observing them etc. Life is back to basic without wifi, and computers, and it is really great to live life in simplicity once in a while!
