It was about two years ago when I brought the kids to stay at Ritz Carlton hotel to watch fireworks during NE show.

This year, I splurged again (about $500, same as last time) to bring them to watch the NDP preview parade cum fireworks. I chose to watch it from the comfort of a hotel room to avoid the crowds. This time, I chose Oriental Mandarin hotel.
My in laws, mum, sister, as well as hubby’s brother and girlfriend came to join us.
The view from the hotel is fanstastic. We could see the big screen at the stage rather clearly, as well as all the fireworks! It was a wonderful experience for us. The kids could enjoy themselves better this year. They were all full of “wows, ahhs!” when they saw the fireworks. They enjoyed themselves, and so did us.

We had our buffet lunch at Melt Restaurant in Oriental Mandarin hotel. The reviews said the food is nice, but personally, I find it quite disappointing, yet very expensive.
The NDP preview and fireworks, we could see them rather clearly from our hotel room.
Next morning, we brought the kids for a swim at the hotel, and went to Marina square for breakfast.
