D’Kranji Farm Stay cum Farm Visits

We went to D’Kranji Resort for staycation with my mum and sister. I bought the deal from Groupon at $108 per room, which includes breakfast and free farm tour.

It is a good experience for the kids as this is the first time they stay at a resort which is away from the bustling city. Nearby the resort, there are only farms farms farms! Even though I saw negative feedback about the resort room, however I think it is not too bad, and is quite comfortable and nice. We were lucky not to see any little creatures (except houseflies and mosquitoes) in the room, and the loud singing from the Karaoke did not really bother us. The bed was small though, only queen size, so we had a bit of hard time squeezing into the bed. But I love the toilet cause you can bath in it and see through the glass door to admire the plants outside.

The breakfast and farm tour were disappointing though. The breakfast set consisted of only 2 half boiled eggs, kaya toasts, and one cup of coffee or tea. I bought another set for the kid at $8! It was so expensive! The farm tour was only about 15 minutes, and I had to pay additional $3.5 each for the kids, cause the deal did not include the kids.

We went to Causeway point at night for our dinner as the resort only has one seafood restaurant. We can’t really take seafood, so we just made our way to Causeway point and had japanese food for dinner.

We managed to visit four farms, the Bollywood veggies farm, goat farm, frog farm and farm mart. The kids enjoyed going to the different farms. I had wanted to bring them to visit the frog farm and farm mart as I saw from internet that these two farms look interesting. The kids saw so many frogs for the first time, and they could feed goat, parrots, fishes, tortises, rabbits etc at farm mart.

Overall, it was a great experience for the kids. My hubby and sister find the stay boring, but personally, I think it is quite nice, as it is really a relaxing getaway.
