Both hubby and I took leave today so that we could celebrate Dash’s 5th year old birthday with his Cherie hearts friends (k1 and k2 classmates) at Mcdonald’s Sengkang Sports Centre. The mcdonald is just above the childcare centre, so it is rather convenient to hold a party there. Actually, it was also partly because I had attended a mcdonald party before when I was young, and I enjoyed it so much that I must let Dash have one too! Anyway, Dash’s school was kind enough to help us organise the party by issuing consent forms out to parents.
It proved to be a right choice indeed, as it was really fun for the kids and hassle free for us. The invitation cards, games, prizes for games, goodie bags and meals were all prepared by Mcdonald, so we did not have to do anything. The cleaning up after the mess were also done by them, so really saved us a lot of troubles. hee. But of course, one only disadvantage is the unhealthy food served to the children, nuggets and fries…
It was really a memorable and fun 5th year old birthday celebration for Dash. He had tons of fun with his friends! I told Violet I will let her have one Mcdonald birthday Celebration too when she is older. haha.
It isn’t that costly actually, just $9 per person, so total I spend is about $160 plus for 18 kids and 2 adults.
Lastly, in the evening, Daddy bought food from Swensens for the whole family.
Before the party
Party begins! Fun begins with 3 games, the kids were separated into two groups – Violet’s group and Dash’s group.
Game 1. the kids were supposed to go in and out of the hula hoop while remained connected holding hands. Game 2. the kids got to pass the balloon under their legs from the front to the back. Game 3. The kids clipped the cloth pegs onto their teachers’ clothes, and the group that could put more was the winner.
The dinosaur cake (fr prima deli) chosen by Dash, and cake cutting. The organiser was quite cute, she asked both Daddy and Mummy, as well as Mei Mei to kiss Dash 5 times on the cheek because he is five years old.
Finally, eating time! We seldom let Dash eat fries and nuggets, as well as drink packet drink, but this time round, we just closed one eye. Praying hard…look how he enjoyed eating those food that he rarely has chance to eat! Violet also got a chance to taste fries for the first time.
Giving out goodie bags! Mcdonald’s goodie bags, as well as our own.
Mcdonald’s invitation cards, goodie bags, and our goodie bags (the coin banks are for the teachers) look like these:
Presents from Dash’s classmates, as well as ang baos he received from both the two gong gongs, shu shu, mama and god mama.
