Polliwogs
We went to try out Polliwogs on children’s day, as we had this posb 1 for 1 voucher for weekdays. Anyway, it was a great mistake. The place was crowded and complicated. The play area for younger children is on one side, and the play area for older children is on the other side, just like ExplorerKid. It is very inconvenient for us to chase after the kids. Due to finding the whole place rather boring, we went out in less than an hour. My conclusion, Bouncing kids is the best for younger kids. Oh yah, even the toilet was disappointing!!! There is only one toilet there for the adult! Btw, polliwogs charges are more expensive than bouncing kids, weekday for child above 2 years old is already $16! I don’t think we will ever go there again.
Le Peranakan hotel
I was rather stressed up this week with all the oral, children’s day performance and upcoming PSLE, and hubby was rather stressed up at work too, so we seriously needed a little getaway. I decided to book a cheap hotel stay over the children’s day to destress. Well, I did not want to spend so much, in the end I came across this Le Peranakan hotel situated somewhere at East coast (not geylang) that charges only $90 per night. Sounds nice right? I thought it is something related to the popular “xiao niang re” show. But in the end, to our great disappointment, the room is REALLY small, even smaller than a normal bedroom. Besides walking to the toilet and bed, you can’t go anywhere else in the room. Usually, Violet loves hotel rooms, but this time round, once she stepped into the room, she cried wanting to go out gai gai. After lazing around in the small and crampy room, and shopping at marine parade, eventually at night, we went home to sleep in our cosy big bedroom. haha.
